By installing, accessing, or using the CivilMate Google Workspace™ Add-on ("the Add-on," "CivilMate," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not install or use the Add-on.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an employer or another corporate entity, you represent and warrant that you have the full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
CivilMate is a Google Workspace™ Add-on designed to operate within Google Sheets™. It provides estimating tools and automated report generation (such as Resource Abstracts and Details of Quantity). The Add-on functions by reading and writing data strictly within the active Google Sheet where it is executed, while fetching reference estimating data (such as HSR schedules and conversion rates) from our secure external backend (Supabase).
To function, CivilMate requires specific permissions (OAuth scopes) connected to your Google account. By installing the Add-on, you grant CivilMate permission to:
Your use of Google Sheets™ and the broader Google Workspace™ environment remains governed by Google’s own Terms of Service.
Your privacy is critically important to us. Our data collection, usage, and sharing practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using CivilMate, you agree to the terms outlined in the Privacy Policy. CivilMate strictly complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You are solely responsible for the data you process using CivilMate and the accuracy of the estimates or reports generated. You agree not to:
All intellectual property rights regarding the CivilMate Add-on, including its code, logic, design, UI elements, and associated documentation, are the exclusive property of the developer(s) of CivilMate. Installing the Add-on grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the software strictly for its intended purpose within Google Workspace™.
CIVILMATE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Add-on will be error-free, completely secure, or that any calculation errors or database syncing issues will be corrected immediately. You are responsible for manually verifying the accuracy of all estimates, rates, and reports generated by the tool.
In no event shall the developers, owners, or affiliates of CivilMate be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Add-on. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses, inaccurate construction estimates, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Add-on (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Add-on after any changes to these Terms constitutes your consent to such changes.
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Add-on at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Add-on from your Google account.
