Welcome to CivilMate. This Privacy Policy explains how CivilMate ("we", "our", or "the Add-on") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Google Workspace™ Add-on. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy and data are protected.
To provide its core functionality, CivilMate integrates directly with your Google Workspace™ environment. We request access to the following Google OAuth scopes:
.../auth/spreadsheets.currentonly): CivilMate operates with a strict "Only Current Document" security model. It requires this permission to read existing cell data, write new estimating formulas, and format the actively opened spreadsheet to generate your Resource Abstracts and Details of Quantity reports. It cannot access any other files in your Drive..../auth/script.external_request): This permission allows the Add-on to securely connect to our external database to fetch the latest Haryana Schedule of Rates (HSR), material recipes, and localized unit conversion factors required for your estimates..../auth/script.container.ui): This permission is required to display the custom CivilMate sidebars, dialog boxes, and menus within your Google Sheets™ interface..../auth/script.scriptapp): This allows the Add-on to execute necessary scripts and formatting macros to generate your reports..../auth/userinfo.email): The Add-on accesses your Google account email address solely to verify your status, manage our secure waitlist, and ensure authorized access to the external database.We use the data accessed by CivilMate strictly to provide the estimating, gap analysis, and reporting features of the Add-on. We do not use your spreadsheet data, email address, or personal information for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.
Your privacy is our priority. We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal information or spreadsheet data to any third-party companies. Data processing of your project estimates occurs securely within your Google Workspace™ ecosystem.
CivilMate does not extract, export, or store your personal spreadsheet estimates on external, non-Google servers. Your private estimating data remains entirely within your Google Sheet. The Add-on only fetches reference data (like HSR schedules and conversion rates) from our secure, centralized backend (Supabase) to populate your active document.
CivilMate's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Google's requirements. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of CivilMate after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
